" your mind is a garden
your thoughts are the seeds
the harvest can be either
flowers
or
weeds "

as i was sitting at my computer at work this morning i had a revelation that came to me with such clarity. i know it's not an original idea and you might say that it's a conglomorate of ideas i've absorbed throughout my life that finally merged and arose to the surface. here i go off the deep-end:each one of us is on a journey. a unique and undefined journey that is given to us as a gift. during the course of our lives we cross paths with others who i believe are in our lives by Divine appointment. some we embrace wholeheartedly and others we would rather not. but they're there and i believe that we're supposed to learn something about ourselves through the people we encounter - good and bad {crossing paths provides some clue to our lives i think. clues that will help us to figure out what we're supposed to be doing or improving on} the same rings true in the circumstances we find ourselves in. do you ever see any recurring circumstances/themes in your life? everything has a purpose and i beleive that we are meant to embrace the moments that are given us (good and bad). each moment is a seed that will grow into something else and like the quote it could either be a flower or a weed.the older i get the more i have grown into the person i have always been. in other words we grow more into ourselves. we become self-accepting and comfortable in our own skin. everything and everyone has a purpose. the rose is meant to be beautiful with a sweet aroma, a cactus is predestined to thrive in the desert by retaining water. each of us has a special seed within us that is meant to grow into something unique and wonderful. "Bloom Where You Are Planted"... we may not fully understand our own purpose in this life, so for the moment
go with the flow
embrace the moments that are given us
accept who you are at this moment
count your blessings
see the good in everything
be glad for this small life which is your own
Angi..love the cover journal, i might have on coming up as well ;0
You know..this phrase really hits me well "everything has a purpose and I believe and we are meant to embrace the moments that are given us (good or bad)".
Quite a timing when I have to do some decision making and this is what I read =)
I am a believer and I live with this phrase.

Love your entry today! Gives me something to really hold in thought.
I'm going through some things right now - some of it bad. And I have to always tell myself there's a reason for this. Like you've said, everything has purpose and I have to believe there's a reason for it. I can't help but be impatient that the reason will make itself known soon.
Thanks, Angi! Great post!

Just awesome and so on point. I read a quote today that said, "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." George Bernard Shaw
Your post reminded me of that.
